Welcome to the Hampton Roads Chapter of the American Logistics Association (HR ALA) website. The HR ALA is one of the 20 active chapters, worldwide, which act as the ALA’s local driving force in strengthening partnerships within the Military Resale industry. Our mission is to protect, enhance, and communicate the benefits of the military resale system (Commissary and Exchange) on behalf of our members and to support the Hampton Roads military community through various events and business forums. We sponsor numerous networking opportunities throughout the year to encourage interaction, conversation, and collaboration amongst leaders from the various branches of the U.S Armed Forces and industry peers, to preserve and enhance the benefit to the military consumer. During these events, the HR ALA raises funds to support our annual scholarship fund for deserving students who are family members within the Military Resale System. In addition to our scholarship program, the Hampton Roads ALA also supports other local Military charities and Military families who have experienced great hardships as well as various outreach programs such as the Salvation Army, Angel tree, and Vets House, to name a few. On behalf of ALA, the HR ALA Chapter provides fundamental service and support to our Military Resale/MWR industry representatives at local and regional levels. This community consists of military personnel, civilian employees or retirees of the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Navy Exchange System (NEXCOM), Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), Marine Corps Exchange System (MCX) and the Coast Guard Exchange System (CGES). We encourage you to join us by becoming a member of the HRALA and helping to support “the best” customer’s in the world…our U.S. Armed Forces.
